WE HERE AT THE FLYING T RANCH TAKE PRIDE IN THE FACT THAT WE RAISE SOLID BACKGROUND HORSES!

THE RESEARCH HAS BEEN DONE FOR YOU!

The Flying T Ranch has been in the business of breeding, raising and selling of horses since 1935.  The philosophy of the Flying T Ranch is to raise horses with proven color, excellent conformation, a gentle disposition, a good mind, and the ability to perform in varied arenas.  To ensure our horses have these traits, our primary focus has always been on good foundation bloodlines.  Through careful research, we chose Lady Colonel (Brown Tobiano) as our starting broodmare and Toledo Bar Juan as our starting stallion. Lady Colonel, whose bloodline traces back to the Old West, was chosen for her speed and ability.  Toledo Bar Juan was chosen because his bloodline produces some of the best reining horses in the nation.  His sister, April Bar Juan was the leading reigning horse in the nation in the 1980’s.  She placed in the Congress Bound, the Iowa Circuit and in the World Show.

Once our technique paid off and our horses began proving themselves, we purchased White Limouzine (Zino), Black Tobiano/Overo, and Privat Treaty.  White Limouzine’s bloodlines are filled with history including Joe, Reed, Top Deck, Tonto Bar Hank, Three Bar, Ed Echols, Easy Jet, Jet Smooth, and Cowboy to name just a few.  Privat Treaty has the best Quarter Horse pedigree in Montana.  Two of our Grand Sires and their colts have documented winnings of over $51,500,000.00 and leads in ROM.

The owners of Flying T Ranch, Tim & Delores McAllister, have over 150 years of combined experience with horses.  Tim’s father arrived in Montana in 1898 where he homesteaded, ranched, raised top horses, and rode with Charlie Russell.  The Flying T Ranch is located on the plains and prairies in Geyser, Montana, where our “Old Wild West” approach still breeds quality in Charlie Russell Country.
